Digital Grandkid

Private Digital Stewardship for Families

When Your Parent's Digital Life Becomes Your Second Job

A private, four-week, one-to-one digital support engagement where a dedicated human steward works personally with your parent, so you can stop being the on-call fixer.

Not a class. Not a course. Not a call centre. One named person, supporting one family at a time.

You're Doing This Out of Love, And It's Still Too Much

It usually starts small. A forgotten password. A new phone that "doesn't work." A message that looks suspicious, but they're not sure.

Then it becomes the mid-meeting interruption. The weekend lost to government portals, banking, or Wi-Fi. The quiet tension when visits turn into troubleshooting sessions.

Underneath it all is a deeper concern, that if your parent can't comfortably navigate the digital world, they risk becoming more vulnerable, more isolated, and less independent.

You don't want to manage their technology. You want them safe, confident, and living normally, and to go back to being just their son or daughter.

The unspoken sibling question: "Who's handling this now?"

This Isn't About Technology. It's About Who Carries the Load.

You're not searching for more tips or tricks. You're searching for relief.

Relief looks like:

  • knowing scams won't catch them off guard
  • knowing essential services won't derail their week
  • seeing them message or video family on their own
  • having conversations that aren't about fixing devices
  • feeling less guilt, frustration, and anxiety overall

You're not buying lessons. You're buying a trusted person to share this responsibility.

A Four-Week, One-to-One Digital Stewardship Engagement

Digital Grandkid is delivered as a private, four-week, one-to-one engagement. Your family is assigned a dedicated digital steward, a real human, not a rotating team, who works personally with your parent throughout the engagement.

  • Same person
  • Same relationship
  • Consistent support

Sessions are delivered in person or via private video, depending on what best suits your family. Details are discussed privately during the diagnostic.

This is structured like a boutique professional service: assess, simplify, secure, build confidence, handoff.

The objective is clear. You are no longer the default tech support role in your family.

How the Engagement Works

Week 1

Personal Assessment

Your steward meets your parent personally, in person or one-to-one via video, to understand how technology fits into their real life. We explore:

  • the devices they actually use
  • what they enjoy and what they avoid
  • moments that create stress, embarrassment, or confusion
  • exposure to scams or risky defaults
  • the situations that currently pull you into the loop

This is a calm, conversational assessment. No testing. No judgement. No rushing.

Outcome: a clear, human understanding of where problems and risks are being created.

Week 2

Simplification and Safety

Based on the assessment, we design a simpler, safer setup around your parent, not around theory. This may include:

  • simplifying access and logins to suit their comfort level
  • removing unnecessary apps, noise, and notifications
  • clarifying how everyday tasks are handled
  • reducing "one wrong tap" moments
  • introducing practical protections against common scams

All changes are explained directly to your parent, in plain language, at their pace.

Outcome: technology that feels quieter, clearer, and easier to live with.

Week 3

One-to-One Confidence Building

Your parent works one-to-one with the same steward in each session. No group classes. No shared attention. No being made to feel slow or behind. We focus on what genuinely matters to them, staying in touch, everyday tasks, and using the few tools that support their lifestyle.

Patience is built in. No sighs, no eye-rolling, no "you should know this by now."

Outcome: confidence grows, and everyday questions become easier for them to handle independently.

Week 4

Family Handoff and Future-Proofing

In the final week, attention shifts back to the family. You receive:

  • a clear overview of what's now in place
  • what has changed and why
  • what no longer requires your involvement
  • guidance for future changes or upgrades

We ensure your parent understands their setup clearly, and that support no longer automatically falls to you.

Outcome: a calmer, more sustainable pattern for the family.

Designed for Proud, Private Parents

Many people would never attend a "beginners' tech class." That's why this engagement is:

  • strictly one-to-one
  • always private
  • paced to the individual
  • framed as support, not correction

We place the burden on the complexity of modern systems, not on your parent. For many families, resistance turns into relief once a parent realises they have personal support that respects their dignity.

And Who It's Not

This engagement may not be appropriate for families seeking:

  • the lowest-cost option
  • classroom-style learning or off-the-shelf programs
  • one-time advice or written instructions only
  • support that falls within medical or clinical care frameworks

Who this is for

This work is designed for families who value personal attention, continuity, and discretion.

Quiet Ongoing Support, If You Want It

After the four weeks, some families prefer to keep a steady hand available, particularly as devices, accounts, and scam tactics change.

Where it makes sense, continued one-to-one support and oversight can be arranged privately, so questions do not automatically return to the family.

This is discussed only after you have experienced the core engagement.

High-Trust, Personal Support

Because this work involves your parent, trust and continuity matter more than tools. You will always know:

  • exactly who is working with your parent
  • how and where sessions occur
  • what boundaries are in place around access and information

Sessions can be delivered:

  • in person, where appropriate
  • via private one-to-one video, when that better suits the family

All arrangements are discussed openly and agreed on in advance. We operate with the same discretion and care you would expect from any professional advising your family.

Engagement Fee

$9,997

The all-inclusive professional fee for the four-week private engagement is $9,997.

Fees may vary depending on location and complexity and are discussed privately during the diagnostic.

Capacity is intentionally limited due to the one-to-one nature of the work.

Request a Private Diagnostic

If this sounds like the level of support your parent deserves, and the kind of relief your family needs, you may request a private diagnostic conversation.

This conversation is intended to assess alignment on both sides.
